2/22/10

Here’s our new SBP solarveil ring sling. I got this used for an excellent price. Solarveil is no longer made due to the cost to produce, so these will become increasingly rare. It blocks out UVA/UVB and can be used in the water! It’s so lightweight and comfy… come on summer!!

It kind of looks like she was blowing her nose on the tail in this picture, but she was really trying to eat it :)

She’s a little upset in this next picture because I’m holding down the tail.

Chelsea got to try meat sticks tonight! I think they look and smell disgusting, but she LOVES them! (Thank you Ashley for giving us the jars you had left over!)

We went to Godmommy Laura’s house today and met baby Olivia! Chelsea had to break in her playmat of course…

2/18/10 Grandma’s house for dinner

We went to Grandma’s house for dinner tonight. Chelsea loved Grandpa Chris’ homemade beefaroni! She ate two plates full, and didn’t need to eat any baby food!

2/7/10 Daddy Babywearing!

This is what I came home to yesterday after work! Apparently, Chelsea wouldn’t settle and just wanted to be held so Stephen strapped on the O&A!

Sleepy Girl 2/16/10

Chelsea didn’t want me to put her down tonight… so in the O&A she went!

And because I found this picture on my camera and it’s so darn cute (Stephen must have taken this early this morning!)

Spaghetti-head! 2/15/10

Chelsea tried some Spaghetti tonight for the first time. To minimize the mess, I gave her bits without sauce, and fed her some of the meat sauce off a spoon. Not sure how she got it stuck on her head… but it sure made us laugh. :)

We also got the babyhawk in the mail today! Not nearly as comfy as the O&A… I think the babyhawk will work better with a smaller baby, but Chelsea loved it :)

Back carry – the pirate side.

And a front carry – the pretty side.

2/14/10 Chelsea’s first Valentine’s Day!

We had a great day on Valentine’s day. Chelsea got to visit Grandmommy and Granddaddy, and Grandma and Grandpa Chris all on the same day! We also saw Uncle Phill and future-Aunt Mollie!

Here’s Chelsea playing in her cute love outfit and pink bow.

2/13/10 Our new O&A

Our new O&A got here today!! LOVE it! This is the most comfy carrier I’ve ever tried on. Chelsea seems to like it, too! She was excited to go for a ride.

2/8/10

Well, Chelsea and I both have bronchitis. We ventured out in the snow yesterday to go to the doctor and stayed home from daycare/work today to rest.

Here’s Chelsea after her bath tonight, playing with a ducky.

And after that, she just wanted to be held. I returned the O&A carrier (the black straps were just TOO long and attracted white cat hair like nothing else!) so the trusty ring sling did the trick for tonight.

Olives and Applesauce Carrier 2/5/10

Some of you may remember that I recently purchased a Beco baby carrier. Well, I sold it. It wasn't the most comfortable and I wasn’t a fan of all the extra buckles. I purchased a Olives and Applesauce half-buckle carrier instead and it came today! Here it is…

100_4293

Isn’t the print pretty? It has a hood tucked inside too, to support her head when she’s sleeping, or to keep out some of the light. We are still getting the hang of it, but it was pretty comfy for the first try! The straps are SO long though, so that will take some getting used to.

So, my baby carrier count is now 3 (MT, RS, and O&A HB), and Stephen says “why do you need more than one baby carrier, you only have one baby.” Well, as a babywearing friend told me, carriers are like purses or shoes, you need one to go with every outfit :)

I have a Babyhawk Mei Tai coming in a week or two, purchased with my overtime pay from last week. But after that no more carriers (for awhile!). I’m excited about this one though. It’s a custom reversible, floral on one side and pirate on the other. Can you see us dressed up in renn faire garb with a skull babycarrier? We’ll get Stephen babywearing somehow!

As I write this Chelsea is drifting off to sleep in a back carry… this is why I do this :)

Comforting Mama… 2/4/10
